design approach
In order to service expanded program at their primary downtown campus, Miami Science Museum proposed an off-site wildlife rehabilitation center which will be associated with a local university.  The three-acre facility will house classrooms, a lab, flight cages and salt-water tanks for animals rotated out of the museum’s primary exhibits.  The complex was conceived of as an integral part of the surrounding campus with the rehabilitation work also providing opportunities for research and education.
